The  Women  Empowerment  Cell, JNTUA  is  established  on  18-01-2015 with  Dr. G. Prasanthi, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department,   JNTUA, Ananthapuramu  as Co-ordinator.

Objective:

To enable the women, both  students  and  staff  to express  their  grievances  freely   without  any embarrassment and also to get redressal.

Achievements:

• Establishment of Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) for dealing with cases of sexual harassment in all Constituent and affiliated colleges of JNTUA.
• Filing of annual returns to UGC by all Constituent and affiliated colleges of JNTUA.
• Organizing programmes to empower Women.
